Research Assistant

Ahmad Khan is a motivated and detail-oriented development researcher with strong academic training in Economics and practical experience in socioeconomic research, field surveys, and policy analysis. He holds an MPhil in Economics from the University of Peshawar, where he specialized in Development and Environmental Economics. He is currently serving as a Research Assistant at Development Insights Lab (DIL), where he contributes to research on economic development, governance, and social policy. His responsibilities include data collection, cleaning, and statistical analysis, supporting policy briefs and academic publications, and participating in field research, interviews, and focus group discussions. He actively collaborates with multidisciplinary research teams to generate evidence-based insights for government and development partners. Alongside his research role, he has also been working as a Field Supervisor with the Bureau of Statistics and the Institute of Management Studies, leading household surveys on health, population, food security, and livelihoods. He ensures high standards of data quality, ethical compliance, and effective coordination with community stakeholders using digital data collection platforms such as CSPro, ODK, and Kobo. With strong analytical capabilities and field experience, Ahmad Khan is committed to producing high-quality research that supports informed policymaking and sustainable development.
