PESHAWAR – In a recent meeting held at the Governor House Peshawar, Mr. Ahmad Kundi, Parliamentary Leader of the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, expressed his strong support for the Development Insights Lab (DIL). The meeting was attended by notable figures, including Dr. Sajjad Ahmad Jan, Dr. Raza Rahman Qazi, Dr. Kashif Saeed, and Dr. Fahim Nawaz.
During the meeting, Mr. Kundi appreciated the establishment of DIL and highlighted the importance of its role in conducting policy research. He emphasized his keen interest in research focused on the provincial share in the federal divisible pool, as well as the natural resources of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Mr. Kundi encouraged DIL to disseminate its research findings through various channels, including reports, working papers, newspaper articles, seminars, and policy roundtables. The DIL team shared their progress and upcoming plans, which were met with positive feedback from Mr. Kundi. He also received formal notifications of DIL’s establishment and its members, expressing appreciation for the efforts being undertaken.
The upcoming Policy Roundtable on the National Finance Commission (NFC) was another point of discussion. Mr. Kundi welcomed the idea and provided valuable suggestions for potential speakers. Additionally, he expressed his enthusiasm for visiting DIL at the University of Peshawar and reaffirmed his commitment to collaborating with the DIL to contribute to the province’s economic growth and development.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both parties expressing eagerness to work together in the future for the betterment of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
